The Lab Division has an organizational commitment to continuous improvement in delivering services that meet or exceed client needs. Every technical test procedure performed in the Laboratory is formally incorporated into routine and project-specific operations in the form of one or more standard operating procedures (SOPs), which may be developed from sources including:Up-front project quality planning begins as soon as a request for quotation is received. Availability of approved applicable SOPs and Quality Plans, and staff and equipment resources to meet the required schedule are assured before a quotation is submitted to a client. Quality Plans provide quality-control checks during test procedures performance, and test results must pass a final inspection before submittal to a client. The GEOMET Chemical Laboratory's Quality System is compliant with ISO 9002, BS EN 9002 and ANSI/ASQC Q9002-1994 quality assurance standards. This system is currently being upgraded and transitioned to meet the new ISO 9000:2000 series of quality standards.
