Strategic Energy Planning Services
Whether you are involved with Stimulus funding as a Federal agency or are trying to improve energy efficiency as an industry, energy planning is key to providing a good return to your bottom line or achieving measureable energy goals. GEOMET offers comprehensive energy planning services including:

• Linkage of your energy opportunities to air quality/greenhouse gases and credit opportunities

Full Range of Energy Audit (Energy Assessment) Services Including Water Conservation
Good data in leads to good results out. Energy audits (sometimes called “assessments”) provide clients with baseline information along with identification of energy conservation opportunities to determine the best solution for reducing energy use. GEOMET conducts both more complex “investment grade” audits as well as simpler audits to meet clients needs. GEOMET also can conduct water audits and provide recommendations to reduce water consumption.

Commissioning and Metering Services
GEOMET offers building commissioning services on existing or new construction. These services are designed to ensure that your building systems are working as intended. Similarly, GEOMET offers metering services that involve monitoring of energy usage from any number and type (electric, gas, etc.) of source for a building.

ESPC Support Services Including M&V
GEOMET is not an Energy Services Company (ESCO) and is not in the Energy Services Performance Contracting (ESPC) business. Instead, we provide services for ESPC contracts including advice, RFP writing and source selection support, ROI/economic analysis, ESCO review, environmental and Measurement & Verification (M&V) services for ESPC contracting entities. We provide unbiased information to determine whether an ESPC project should go forward or not.

Conversely, GEOMET has provided support to ESCO’s to conduct their M&V, audits and other analyses including environmental aspects.

Renewable Energy
Should you consider renewable energy? GEOMET helps you answer this question by providing feasibility analysis for renewables such as solar, biomass and wind. We also have conducted extensive methane gas/landfill analysis. We not only look at the cost and design implications of potential renewable choices but also examine the environmental implications of the effort.

Resource Efficiency Managers (REMs) – Outsourcing Energy Staff
GEOMET has provided Resource Efficiency Managers (REMs) to DoD installations and commands. Typically used in DoD or other parts of the Federal government and located at the government site, REMs provide complete energy services to a base. In the private sector, GEOMET can provide onsite REM services at your location, tailored to meet your energy needs.

Alternative Fuel Vehicles (AFV) Analysis
Will AFV’s be right for me? GEOMET answers this question through comprehensive analysis of economic, engineering and regulatory factors that may affect your selection of bio-fuels, ethanol, hydrogen, electric or other AFV fuels.

Comprehensive Environmental Services Including NEPA/Air Permitting
GEOMET can provide you not only with comprehensive energy services but also with environmental services as well. If you are a Federal agency, this is very important because energy projects can be delayed or even halted due to NEPA-related issues. Similarly, for the private sector, lack of an item such as a complete air permit could seriously jeopardize your project. We integrate energy and the environment such that any project delays are minimized. We also determine whether you are eligible to receive environmentally related credits (e.g., emission reduction credits or ERCs) for your energy project.
