Sr Scientist II
Job Description:
The duties of this position will include designing and conducting training courses for first responders and other special groups responding to incidents involving bio-terrorist and/or bio-warfare agents. This position will also manage projects, be responsible for planning/setting up tests, direct technical support, track test progress, analyze/report data, and write standard operation procedures. Work will be performed at the Life Sciences Test Facility and other facilities at Dugway Proving Ground.
Other duties may include: preparation of growth media, bacteria and virus propagation, viability counting, maintenance of culture collection, morphological/biochemical testing, staining and microscopy techniques, and isolation of proteins, lipids and nucleic acids. Conduct characterization and identification methods such as: PCR, VNTR, AFLP, sequencing, MIDI, ELISA, and PAGE. Document laboratory procedures and prepare detailed reports. Some tasks will be performed in a BSL-3 environment with infectious microorganisms and CDC Select Agents. Must meet qualification requirements for the Biological Personal Reliability Program in order to handle Select Agents and work in BSL-3 environment.
Must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance. Must be willing to participate in a vaccination program.

Ph.D. in microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related life science from an accredited university and at least one year of postdoctoral work experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

Sr Scientist III
Job Description:
Conduct experimental studies with technical competence in molecular biology and microbiology. Act as expert/lead on test projects. Compile, analyze, report, and present data to test directors and customers. Demonstrate excellent communication skills; oral and written. Review accessible literature and stay current with advancing technologies. Other duties include: preparation of growth media, bacteria and virus propagation, viability counting, maintenance of culture collection, morphological/biochemical testing, staining and microscopy techniques, and isolation of proteins, lipids and nucleic acids. Conduct characterization and identification methods such as: PCR, VNTR, AFLP, sequencing, MIDI, ELISA, and PAGE.

Associate Scientist II
Job Description:
The duties of this position will primarily be the bacterial/viral identification and analysis utilizing the techniques VNTR, MIDI, and 16s RNA sequencing for various projects at the Life Sciences Test Facility. Have demonstrated experience developing new methods for bacterial/viral identification and analysis using the before mentioned techniques highly recommended. Work will be with infectious microorganisms and CDC Select Agents. Other duties may include: preparation of growth media, bacteria and virus propagation, morphological/biochemical testing, staining and microscopy techniques, isolation of proteins, lipids and nucleic acids, AFLP, sequencing, ELISA, and PAGE. Prepare and present briefings to test directors and customers. Document laboratory procedures and prepare detailed reports. Perform tasks in a BSL-3 environment. Must meet qualification requirements for the Biological Personal Reliability Program in order to handle Select Agents and work in BSL-3 environment. Must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance. Must be willing to participate in a vaccination program.

BS degree in microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology or related life science and four (4) years related experience, or Masters degree in appropriate discipline and at least two years of postgraduate laboratory experience, or PhD (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

Sr. Mechanical Technician - Automotive
Job Description:
Performs skilled work in the mechanical field, but shall not be limited to, vehicle maintenance, mechanical fabrications, welding, heavy equipment repairs and tire repair. Must be capable of working independently and/or working directly with test officers or engineering personnel on fabrication of mechanical systems. Must be able to trouble shoot mechanical and electrical mechanical systems, perform regularly scheduled maintenance on vehicles and heavy equipment. Maintain shop parts inventory, maintain work area in an orderly and safe manner. Must also perform other duties as required.
Must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance.

Specialized training and at least five years Senior experience in the calibration, operation, maintenance, fabrication, and repair of mechanical test equipment.

Sr. Mechanical Technician
Job Description:
Monitor up to 40 types of Environmental Conditioning Chambers on a daily basis. Training and certification provided on the job. Required to monitor refrigeration equipment during test cycles and attempt to prevent equipment failure. Required to change fan belts, grease bearings, monitor oil and gas levels in the refrigeration systems. Perform regularly scheduled maintenance on all equipment. Maintain log of all maintenance and parts used/purchased. Maintain Refrigerant Compliance Records and review as scheduled. Ensure equipment rooms are kept clean and free of debris. Perform annually scheduled maintenance/cleaning on Condensers. Will be required to work directly with Test Officers to coordinate various types of environmental simulation tests. Compile building data reports after each sub-test for Test Officers. Submit quarterly reports on the Hourly Chamber Usage. Must obtain and maintain forklift training.
May be required to obtain and maintain certification in the Chemical Personnel Reliability Program. Must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance. Long days, overtime or night shift may be required.

Specialized training and at least five years Senior experience in the calibration, operation, maintenance, fabrication, and repair of mechanical test equipment.


Mechanical Technician (2)
Job Description:
Organize data collected from the field.
Apply proper labeling for chain of custody.
Input of data may be required.
Decon experience recommended.
Ability to drive and operate a variety of military vehicles.
Shift work and long days may be required. Other duties as assigned.
Must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance.

Specialized training and at least three years experience in calibration, operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical test equipment to include dissemination.


Administrative Assistant
Job Description:
Successful candidate will be responsible for submitting all overtime requests, travel requests and reimbursement paperwork for contract personnel in JOTT. Candidate will also be responsible for coordinating travel, assisting with timecards, conducting timecard audits, compiling training books, taking notes in all contractor division meetings and DHS meetings, providing meeting minutes, updating and maintaining division training and leave calendars, compiling work acceptance sheets, statements of work, quality documents, agendas and cost estimates for each test or training course, maintaining safety paperwork, and scheduling training for division contractor personnel
In addition, the successful candidate will provide support and coordination for tracking Student Information and applications for courses and meetings. This will involve the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Coordinate access to main gate, LSTF and CCTF for students and visitors. Provide clerical support, tasking lists, meeting reminders, and oversight for issuance and receipt of ACBIRC/DHS equipment. The ability to organize and maintain records of past actions will be critical to this position. Lend support for gathering costing information for possible purchasing under the guidance of training managers, interface and update Livelink. Support mobile training teams by providing support from Dugway to offsite staff. Assist in the scheduling of range resources. Assist with production of class materials. Other duties as assigned.

Must have Associate’s degree and 3 years of direct experience or 6 years of work experience in the areas of performing administrative or financial tasks of a highly specialized nature to develop, administer, and/or maintain support of project activities.

Analyst
Job Description:
Analyze samples in accordance with the appropriate procedure.

Responsible for trouble-shooting instrumentation and sampling problems.
Responsible for documentation of all analysis in specified format.
Responsible for preparing data packages and writing summary report of the results.
Proper storage and disposal of the samples until analysis is complete.
Coordinate with appropriate individuals to complete sample tracking records.
Must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance.

BS degree in chemistry, other physical sciences, or engineering from an accredited science school. Experience with operating analytical instrumentation, primarily gas chromatographs/MINICAMS.

Senior Analyst
Job Description:
Provide technical support for operation of gas chromatographs and MINICAMS.
Implementation of new methodology for following specified procedures for analysis of samples from experiments or air monitoring.
Responsible for trouble-shooting instrumentation and sampling problems.
Responsible for documentation of all analysis in specified format.
Responsible for preparing data packages and writing summary report of the results.
Proper storage and disposal of the samples until analysis is complete.
Coordinate with appropriate individuals to complete sample tracking records.
Responsible for reviewing all analytical and project data packages.
Responsible for scheduling all Safety Air Monitoring, including DAAMS and MINICAMS.
Must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance.
Must meet eligibility requirements for acceptance in and maintain enrollment in CPRP.

Baccalaureate degree in chemistry, other physical science, or engineering from an accredited university and a minimum of two years of laboratory experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience, such as a Masters in chemistry). Able to work with or around highly toxic material. Must be experienced with operating analytical instrumentation (primarily gas chromatographs).
